Job Title: Data Center Installation Project Manager (UPS & Security)
Location: Hampton Roads, Virginia
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Project Manager to lead a specialized Data Center Installation Project in Hampton Roads, VA. This role focuses on the installation and security layers of UPS systems within a data center environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data center operations, security protocols, and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance, along with hands-on experience and relevant certifications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data center operations, security protocols, and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance, along with hands-on experience and relevant certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full installation process of UPS systems and security infrastructure in a data center environment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution, staying on time and within budget.
- Implement and maintain strict security protocols and procedures throughout the installation phase.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and standards applicable to the project.
- Serve as the main point of contact (PM) for project updates, stakeholder communications, and issue resolution.
- Assist in developing and refining installation processes and documentation.
- Work closely with vendors and contractors on-site to ensure proper installation and quality standards.
- Monitor and report progress to senior leadership, highlighting any risks or challenges proactively.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in data center installation, particularly with UPS systems and layered security measures.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Certification in CII is required.
- Excellent understanding of DOT guidelines and compliance standards.
- Effective communicator with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technical, and highly secure environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications or training in data center operations, project management (PMP), or IT infrastructure.
- Previous experience working on government or high-security data center projects.
