Outcomes
- Conduct physical inventory counts and prepare reconciliations on a regular basis
- Maintain inventory control records, including production, transfers and sales, and provide reports to management on a regular basis
- Act as liaison between Sales, Production, Quality Control, Logistics and Accounting
- Manage customer allocations in concert with QA recommendations
- Actively participate in crop planning and production planning meetings and assist Sales with monitoring customer contracts fulfillment
- Monitor inventory levels, identify trends, and recommend any necessary changes to management
- Ensure on-hold, unsaleable or unusable inventory is properly identified and is timely reworked or disposed
- Following a thorough analysis of the company's current inventory policies & procedures, identify any deficiencies and inefficiencies, make correctional recommendations and implement changes or new systems
- Prepare external storage account reconciliations on a regular basis
- Manage inventory transfers with a goal of maximizing production efficiencies and minimizing costs
- Various inventory reconciliations each month, and quarterly
- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of an Associates degree and 3 to 5 years related work experience
- Must have a strong attention to detail and analytical stills
- Must be a strong problem solver, able to create solutions to challenges in an expedient manner
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments is essential
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others; will be required to interact with a variety of vendors, colleagues and customers
- Must be able to work in a high-stress environment, be flexible and maintain a positive attitude
- Strong work ethics is essential
- Strong computer skills are important. Excel, Word, e-mail and 10-key skills are required
