- Material Flow & Inventory Management: Ensure the timely movement of raw materials to prevent production delays. Collaborate with the Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Inventory teams to coordinate material supply needs and minimize downtime. Maintain accurate documentation of material flow using both manual and technology-based platforms. Utilize Kanban systems to streamline and enhance replenishment processes. Assist with production changeovers to ensure that materials are available when needed.
- Technical & Process Improvement: Develop and maintain proficiency in using RFSmart, JDE, and Microsoft applications. Apply Lean principles to optimize workflows and improve the efficiency of material flow. Proactively coordinate with warehouse to identify inefficiencies in material handling and propose actionable process improvements to enhance speed, accuracy, and overall productivity.
- Safety & Equipment Handling: Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently by following safety protocols for the handling and storage of raw materials. Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace in alignment with continuous improvement protocols.
- Team Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Inventory teams to provide support and ensure smooth and efficient operations. Collaborate across functions to troubleshoot and resolve any material flow bottlenecks. Maintain strong interpersonal communication and work effectively with all teams to drive improvements.
- Forklift certification required. Previous experience in a material handling in a production environment preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to develop competency in Microsoft Applications, JDE, RFSmart, Monday.com, and Teams.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative, ownership, and solve problems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a willingness to work across teams.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, including the use of Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, PDCA, RCA, Kanban, etc).
