- Develop & Deliver Training Programs: Streamline, implement, and manage training curricula, including videos and digital records, ensuring consistency. Design and execute programs, training plans, and growth paths to support continuous employee development. Train and certify competency for production workers, master trainers, leads, and supervisors, ensuring standardized, efficient, and effective training across all roles.
- Coordinate Workforce Production & Development: Schedule and oversee production and cross-training activities to maximize workforce flexibility and skill versatility. Collaborate on production planning, aligning staffing availability with training needs to support the integration of new hires and multi-skilled employees.
- Oversee New Hire Integration: Manage new hires during their first 90 days, serving as their direct supervisor during onboarding and initial training. Implement programs to ensure new hires understand job duties, safety protocols, and production workflows. Monitor progress, provide feedback, coach, and offer additional training as needed. Document performance to ensure readiness for transition to a production supervisor.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement efforts in training and onboarding programs to ensure they are efficient, effective, and aligned with operational needs. Standardize and optimize training materials, methods, and workflows to improve new hire readiness and enhance skill development across production teams.
- Collaborate with Peer Supervisors & Quality: Partner with the Quality team to develop and implement Workmanship Standards for all production areas to emphasize the importance of high-quality outputs. Partner with production supervisors to ensure training programs reinforce consistency, high utilization, and standards in workflows and processes.
- Maintain Documentation & Utilize Resources: Develop, manage, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIBs), Workmanship, and other critical documentation. Utilize the company’s Learning Management System to track and manage training resources, certifications, and employee progress.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement efforts in training and onboarding programs to ensure they are efficient, effective, and aligned with operational needs. Standardize and optimize training materials, methods, and workflows to improve new hire readiness and enhance skill development across production teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior operational training experience in manufacturing or production preferred.
- Proven experience in training development and delivery, with abilities in creating curricula, training videos, and maintenance of training records.
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and the ability to teach and apply them effectively.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor individuals and guide teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of production workflows, quality standards, and workmanship requirements.
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems and digital tools for training and record-keeping.
- Experience with cross-training, workforce planning, identifying skills gaps, and integrating skill availability into production schedules.
