GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

Territory Field Manager is responsible for managing both time and resources to ensure that paint and drywall projects are completed on time. This position is responsible for making sure projects are fully staffed when appropriate and that workers can access tools and building materials. The Territory Field Manager is expected to work autonomously to accomplish his/her goals and requires an individual with strong organization, time-management skills, and self-motivation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee drywall and paint projects from start to finish
  • First point of contact for builders related to execution and issues with production
  • First point of contact for subcontractors for schedule verification and job execution
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts related to assigned subcontractors
  • Daily verification of job readiness and communicate to scheduling team
  • Responsible for Builder / Homeowner QA scheduling
  • Organize daily tasks with a targeted agenda
  • Verify phase completion of all drywall and paint tasks on active jobs
  • Responsible for clean work environment at key completion stages
  • Builder EPO Management: evaluate, price, and obtain EPO from builder prior to execution of repairs/extras
  • Subcontractor EPO Management: price, assign subcontractor, and execute repairs/extras
  • Build/foster relationships with builders, subcontractors, and other trades on site
  • Responsible for meeting key builder schedule dates
  • Meet and walk jobs with builders as needed
  • Responsible for on-time payment of subcontractors
  • Take primary ownership of QA process at all stages of drywall and paint projects
  • Communicate material discrepancies to Field Operations Manager
  • Comply with company’s safety policy and enforce with subcontractors
  • Written Documentation: scheduling, builder communication, safe and clean work environment

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

  • High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., GED, college, technical or trade school transcript, foreign equivalency, etc.).
  • Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to learn new software systems specific to the business
  • Valid driver’s license for 3 years and insurable with company insurance policy
  • (2) Years of field management or construction management
  • Fluent in Spanish a plus but not required

  • Maintain company information in a confidential manner.
  • Attends work regularly and on time with a minimum of tardiness/absences and adheres to company polices and procedures regarding absences and tardiness. Provides adequate notice to higher management with respect to vacation time and time-off requests.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stressful situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accurate, organized, and detail-oriented with exceptional follow-up skills, both internally and externally.
  • Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized team.

  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The physical activities described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Individuals may need to ride or drive in a vehicle for up to 2 or more hours.
  • Performing this job requires frequent uses of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Must be able to sit, talk, hear, and stand frequently throughout the day.
  • Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

  • This position requires working in an office and field environment.
  • Individuals may be exposed to varying temperatures including very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) and all-weather conditions.
