Stancil Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to support and enhance our warehouse operations. This role is critical in driving inventory accuracy, implementing and maintaining our Warehouse Management System (WMS), and ensuring warehouse best practices are followed consistently across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in inventory control, and be passionate about process improvement and WMS optimization. This role will also require overnight travel monthly to ensure consistency and operational excellence across locations.
General Statement of Job:
The Inventory Manager will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to maintain daily records for invoices and purchase orders needing to be received and returned. Will help implement and enforce warehouse SOP’s, train general warehouse personnel. They will help generate inventory cycle counts as requested by the Warehouse Operations Manager. The Inventory Manager will assist the Warehouse Manager to calculate monthly and seasonal inventory stock demand. Additional duties and responsibilities may include ensuring inventory levels are maintained and new processes are followed in an ever-changing supply chain.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with warehouse staff on tracking inventory stock levels, create new stock items in warehouse management software with correct format ex. (part numbers, UPC, correct descriptions, cost, and thresholds)
- Inform Warehouse Operations Manager when Identifying incorrect part numbers and item descriptions for corrective action to be taken.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Manager to evaluate new inventory and help avoid excessive surplus and inefficiencies inclusive.
- Generate inventory reports at the request of any senior management personnel.
- Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Operations Manager to assist Purchasing Manager and Estimating team to monitor stock Levels and develop a more detailed inventory control system inclusive of Par Level management.
- Inform Warehouse Operations Manager of any backorders that are pending and add those orders in the designated dashboard for all affected departments to have visibility.
- Discuss with Warehouse Operations Manager when missing items are reported by the field team and assist in investigating the root cause.
- Document damage replacement requests and investigate root cause of damage per requests.
- Place orders to replenish stock, wrong items ordered, or missing items on the initial PO.
- Report to Warehouse Operations Manager on supplier issues, material issues, transit issues and inaccuracies etc.
- Communicates and discuss with Warehouse Operations Manager regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc. prior to proceeding with changes.
- Generate internal inventory cycle count item list for Warehouse Manager to do daily cycle counts.
- Discuss with Warehouse Operations Manager on any discrepancies found during warehouse’s daily cycle counts.

Supervisory Responsibilities

WMS System Support & Maintenance
• Assist with implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Warehouse Management System.
• Create and manage inventory items within the WMS (part numbers, UPCs, descriptions, cost, and usage).
• Support staff training and adoption of WMS tools and processes.
Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Generate and manage daily inventory cycle count lists.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies from cycle counts and reported field issues.
- Document and address damage replacement requests, returns, and root cause analyses.
- Assist in demand forecasting for weekly stock orders. Process Development & Compliance
- Help establish, implement, and reinforce warehouse SOPs.
- Partner with the Warehouse Manager and Purchasing team to manage par levels and avoid overstocking.
- Monitor backorders and mis-ships and communicate inventory status via dashboards accessible to relevant departments.
Qualifications

• Work closely with purchasing, estimating, field teams, and leadership to streamline inventory workflows.
• Alert leadership to material issues that affect inventory integrity.
• Maintain open communication regarding stock item changes, new item setup, and stock location changes.

Education, Experience, and Training:
- High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., GED, college, technical or trade school transcript, foreign equivalency, etc.). • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook) • Willingness to travel overnight at least once per month
