Systems Analyst 2

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Analyst II to support the migration of an integrated resident information system to a new SaaS solution. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless transition, handling complex data migration tasks, and optimizing the new system's performance for healthcare EHR systems like Cerner Millennium, Dentrix, CareTracker, and RLDatix Risk Module. Responsibilities

• Support the migration efforts of the integrated resident information system (HHSC IRIS) to a new SaaS solution, including Cerner Millennium, Dentrix, CareTracker, and RLDatix Risk Module.
• Perform comprehensive planning, data assessment, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system.
• Design and implement workflows that integrate with the existing system, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal functionality.
• Document all phases of the migration process and engage with clinical and IT stakeholders for requirements gathering and clear communication throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Ensure that system design complies with HHSC standards.
• Set up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration.
• Perform testing of the migration process, including creating and executing unit test scripts, managing test scenarios, analyzing results, and debugging issues.
• Utilize established software development and testing standards to ensure system reliability and functionality.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to both internal and external audiences on the migration process, system functionality, and technical challenges.
• Train end-users, prepare comprehensive system documentation, and recommend optimization strategies based on feedback and performance metrics.
• Support the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and post-migration support.
• Use ticketing systems to share information and resolve issues.
• Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders, including managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in database management systems and data migration, especially with healthcare EHR systems and complex integrations like Cerner Millennium.
• 7 years of experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar database scripting, crucial for efficient migration of data to new SaaS platforms. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Visio, and other spreadsheet software.
• 7 years of experience in business analysis, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionality.
• 7 years of experience documenting business process flows, standardizing processes, and conducting data collection and meetings with subject matter experts.
• 7 years of experience in preparing specifications for data input/output processes.
• 7 years of experience resolving complex data-related issues using robust analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
• 7 years of experience with exceptional oral and written communication skills to produce clear project documentation and engage with stakeholders.
• 7 years of experience with strong interpersonal abilities to support diverse teams and foster collaboration.
• 7 years of experience applying knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights within the organization.
• 7 years of experience understanding architectural concepts and principles relevant to infrastructure, information systems, and applications.

Preferred

• 2 years of experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
• 2 years of experience with familiarity of existing and planned software technology, architecture, and infrastructure.
• 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare data.

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $63 - $73/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
