We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team for an exciting project involving the construction and management of a modern high-tech data center. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with rack and stack servers, fiber and copper cabling, and power distribution units (PDUs). This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure the data center's operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
This role is fully on site (5 days / week) in Secaucus, NJ. You will be required to work regular office hours, with availability for nights and weekends as needed. Responsibilities
- Install and configure rack and stack servers.
- Identify, install, and layout various cabling used in the data center, including Cat (5,6,7,8) ethernet, Single-Mode Fiber (SMF), Multi-Mode Fiber (MMF), Thin & Thick coaxial, and Shielded Twisted Pair (STP) & Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP).
- Properly label cables with colors or identifiers and appropriate connectors (e.g., RJ45, LC/SC) for connection types used.
- Set up and configure PDUs according to specifications.
- Establish and test network connections, including fiber and copper links.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the data center.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and network issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all installations, configurations, and changes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.

Additional Details
The base pay range for this contract position is $30-40/hr, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered
