We are seeking a Systems Analyst 2 to support the migration of the integrated resident information system (HHSC IRIS), including Cerner Millennium, Dentrix, CareTracker, and RLDatix Risk Module, to a new SaaS solution. This role requires comprehensive planning, data assessment, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new system. As the Systems Analyst 2, you will be responsible for designing and implementing workflows that integrate with the existing system, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal functionality. You will document all phases of the migration process, engage with clinical and IT stakeholders for requirements gathering, and ensure clear communication throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
Responsibilities
Lead the migration efforts of HHSC IRIS to the new SaaS solution, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
Conduct comprehensive planning, data assessment, cleansing, and mapping for the migration process.
Design and implement workflows to integrate the new system with the existing one, ensuring a seamless transition.
Document all migration phases and engage with clinical and IT stakeholders to gather requirements.
Ensure that the migration design complies with HHSC standards.
Set up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity after migration.
Perform necessary testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts.Manage test scenarios, analyze test results, and debug issues.Utilize established software development and testing standards to ensure the reliability and functionality of the new SaaS solution.
Provide regular updates on the migration progress to project stakeholders, including managers, technical leads, developers, and business analysts.
Use ticketing systems for information sharing and problem resolution.
Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences to explain the migration process, system functionality, and technical challenges.
Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support.
Provide training for end-users and prepare comprehensive system documentation.
Recommend strategies to optimize system performance based on user feedback and performance metrics. Qualifications
7 years of experience in database management systems and data migration , particularly within healthcare EHR systems like Cerner Millennium and other complex integrations.
7 years of experience with Oracle , Microsoft SQL Server , or similar databases and proficiency in Excel , Word , Visio , and other spreadsheet software.
7 years of business analysis experience, including reviewing and analyzing user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying process automation or system enhancement solutions.
7 years of experience in documenting business process flows and standardizing process improvements through data collection and meetings with subject matter experts.
7 years of experience in preparing specifications for data input / output processes .
7 years of experience resolving complex data-related issues using strong analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills , with the ability to produce clear project documentation and engage effectively with stakeholders.
7 years of interpersonal skills to support diverse teams and inspire high productivity and collaboration among team members.
In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and the ability to apply them strategically within the organization.
Strong understanding of architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information systems, and applications. Preferred
2 years of prior experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations .
2 years of familiarity with existing and planned software technology and the software architecture and infrastructure components globally, regionally, and locally.
2 years of experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare data. Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $63 - $73 / per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
