Job Summary:
The HOPE Program’s, Field Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of Shuttle Drivers across Oklahoma locations, assist in managing workers' compensation for multiple work-release employees, and serving as a liaison with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. This position includes 24/7 on-call emergency responsibilities and ensures compliance with all safety, regulatory, and operational standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to maintain efficient transportation operations and employee well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Shuttle Driver Oversight:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of transportation drivers across all locations, ensuring efficient and safe transportation operations.
- Schedule, monitor, and evaluate drivers’ performance, providing training, feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all vehicle maintenance and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify adherence to operational standards.
Workers' Compensation Management:
- Assist with the workers' compensation program for all work-release employees, ensuring timely reporting, investigation, and resolution of claims.
- Serve as a liaison for insurance providers and work in conjunction with the RISK department to manage claims in order to minimize costs and improve outcomes.
- Track and analyze trends in workplace incidents to develop and implement preventive measures.
Emergency Response and On-Call Duties:
- Act as the main point of contact to provide 24/7 on-call support to address emergency situations, including vehicle breakdowns, employee injuries, and operational disruptions.
- Coordinate with various department leaders to ensure swift and effective resolution of emergencies.
- Work with Vehicle Maintenance Division Manager to ensure detailed records of all incidents and follow up to prevent recurrence.
Liaison Responsibilities:
- Act as a contact between the HOPE Program, Client and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and regulations.
- Represent Stand By Personnel (HOPE Program) in meetings, audits, and discussions with the Department of Corrections.
- Address and resolve any concerns raised by the Department or other regulatory agencies.
Administrative and Compliance Duties:
- Collaborate with HR Department team to maintain accurate records of employee schedules, performance evaluations, and compliance training.
- Ensure adherence to all state and federal regulations related to transportation and work-release programs.
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance, workers' compensation claims, and incident trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in transportation, logistics, or operations management, preferably within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation processes and safety protocols.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective liaison with government agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities, including on-call responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in corrections, public safety, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the regulations and requirements of work-release programs.
- Certifications in safety or transportation management (e.g., DOT compliance).
