Manufacturing Inspector / Packer

Location : Sand Springs, OK

Pay : $17 - $18 per hour (based on experience)

Hours : Monday - Friday, 6 : 00 AM - 6 : 00 PM

Job Type : Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inspector / Packer to join our team in Sand Springs, OK. This position involves inspecting and packaging heat-forged rail track spikes, ensuring they meet both customer and industry specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and a willingness to rotate between inspection and packaging duties on a formal schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Product Inspection :

  • Visually examine forged rail track spikes for surface defects, excessive scale, laps, discoloration, cracks, or pits.
  • Verify product dimensions and head shape using preset measuring instruments.
  • Monitor product movement along the conveyor to prevent or address jamming.

Packaging & Production Support :

  • Operate an automated filler, adjusting load scales to ensure correct weight in each container.
  • Manually position and transfer filled containers to pallets.
  • Label containers with product information and maintain accurate production reports.

    • Material Handling & Equipment Operation :

  • Occasionally operate a forklift to transfer palletized kegs to dock staging areas, shrink wrap stations, or temporary inventory storage.
  • Ensure smooth workflow to prevent production delays.

    • Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring visual concentration on product shape, size, and appearance.
  • Willingness to rotate between inspection and packaging duties as scheduled.
  • Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
