Saw Operator
Job Type : TemptoHire Location : Tulsa OK Pay : $18$20 per hour Shift : FridaySunday 5 : 00 AM5 : 30 PM (Training on days MondayFriday) Job Responsibilities
Set up and operate metalcutting saws (band saws circular saws cold saws etc. according to job specifications. Adjust feed rates blade speeds and cutting angles for optimal performance. Perform cutting tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and consistency . Read and interpret work orders blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting dimensions and tolerances. Load secure and position metal stock using clamps or fixtures. Measure and mark materials prior to cutting to ensure precision and accuracy . Inspect cut pieces using calipers micrometers tape measures and squares . Ensure finished products meet required tolerances and quality standards . Identify and report material defects or machine malfunctions . Perform routine maintenance on saws including blade changes and cleaning. Follow company safety protocols wear required PPE and maintain a clean and organized work area . Adhere to OSHA and other relevant safety regulations . Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience operating saws in a manufacturing or industrial setting . Familiarity with different types of saws (horizontal / vertical band saws etc.. Ability to read and interpret blueprints work orders and technical drawings . Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers micrometers etc.. Knowledge of metal types and their cutting properties . Ability to work both independently and as part of a team . Dependable with strong attendance and work ethic . Highly detailoriented and organized . Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment . Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition subtraction multiplication and division. Capability to follow detailed written or oral instructions and solve simple problems. Willingness to work overtime and shift work as required. Physical Requirements
Ability to stand walk stoop kneel crouch or crawl as required. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently . Specific vision abilities required include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus . Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts .
