Job Overview : We are looking for skilled Box Header Welders who are experienced in GMAW and FCAW processes with a background in working with carbon steel.
This role requires passing a 2G plate test on a 1 single bevel plate using a 3 / 16 open root and straight hardwire 0.45 MIG for the fill and cap with flux.
Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints are needed.
Responsibilities :
- Set up welders for clean spatterfree welds
- Perform MIG and Flux core welding
- Troubleshoot welding equipment as needed
- Work with welding fixtures
- Follow production schedules
- Keep a clean and organized workspace
Requirements :
- Proven experience as a Box Header Welder with GMAW and FCAW on carbon steel
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Proficiency in MIG and Flux core welding
- Experience with troubleshooting welding equipment
- Skilled in using basic fabrication tools such as saws and grinders
- Ability to read and follow production schedules
