Job Summary
At Movida our Dining Room Supervisors play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests are treated with warm hospitality, and leave having had a memorable dining experience. This position involves overseeing a designated dining room/area, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of restaurant service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily dining room operations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for guests.
- Manage and train dining staff, including servers and support staff, to deliver excellent guest-focused service.
- Monitor food service delivery and presentation to tables to ensure timely service, order accuracy, and diner's remain satisfied.
- Collaborate with Movida's servers and kitchen staff to ensure dietary restrictions and allergies are communicated and executed correctly.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout service hours.
- Support Movida's General Manager in upholding restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
Skills
- Proven experience working in a restaurant environment, in a front of house role for a minimum of 2 years.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and alcohol free cocktails is a plus, enhancing the overall guest experience related to their beverage preferences.
- Excellent supervisory skills, ensuring effective communication among staff members.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safety standards in restaurant settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine desire to help guests enjoy their dining experience through attentive service and personal connections.
Pay
The starting wage for our Dining Room Captain's is $17/hour Tips.
Schedule Expectations
Availability is a skill required for this position, candidates must be available to work on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays regularly. Weekend services are essential days to the restaurant and hospitality industry and our team members are expected to lead our staff during these high-volume services.
