What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Driver: High Bay, Night Shift (M-TH) position at Standard Beverage?
Overview
We are looking to hire the most qualified, experienced, high-bay (high-reach) forklift operators for our new, state-of-the-art distribution center located in Lawrence, Kansas. Typical shift runs Monday through Thursday night from approximately 5:00 PM to 4:00 AM, however may end earlier or later depending on volume. Must be able to demonstrate a strong history of experience as a stand-up forklift operator. Candidates will be required to provide proof of previous experience specific to high-bay operation with a stand-up lift, as well as current forklift certification.
Responsibilities
- Operating a stand-up forklift to move palletized product into and out of high-bay pushback and selective rack locations of up to 5 levels high
- Performing inventory movements by utilizing an RF gun to record inventory movements
- Moving pallets of product throughout the warehouse and staging at specific drop points
- Operating 100% accident-free
- Performing pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections
- Strictly adhere to all standard operating procedures, safety practices and policies
Qualifications
- Must have relevant experience and certification for operating a high-bay forklift
- Must have stand-up forklift experience. Sit down forklift experience is not acceptable
- Must be dependable.…meaning able to report for and complete all assigned shifts
Must be able to stand/walk continuously for 10 hours
Must maintain accident-free equipment operation
Must be able to perform tasks carefully and accurately in a fast-paced environment
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Night shift
- No weekends
- Overtime
