What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025/26 Teacher, SDC Moderate/Severe position at Standard Elementary School District?
Supervised and evaluated by the building principal, in coordination with planning by the Director of Student Support Services, and in cooperation with other professional staff, provides services to students as designated on the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to include instruction in basic skills such as reading, language arts, and mathematics as well as social skills, communication skills, functional living skills, and adaptive behavior skills. This position serves children with moderate to severe handicapping conditions in a moderate/severe classroom. Examples of the handicapping conditions served by this program include, but are not limited to, autism, intellectual disability, and other health impaired. Required
1. BA or BS degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university
Appropriate credential and/or eligibility for the assignment (Moderate/Severe), as per the current guidelines established by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing

1. College/university course work or experience in applied behavior analysis
2. College/university course work or experience in direct instruction methods
3. College/university course work or experience in functional assessment methods
4. Teaching experience with moderate/severe special populations
Salary : $56,701 - $99,912
