What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Technician position at Standard Farms?
The QA Technician is responsible for the inspection of all portioned extracted materials and the inspection of all products packaged for shipment to dispensaries. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, including work that may fall under other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect all portioned extracted materials as they are completed by Extraction:
- All portioned materials are inspected within 24 hours of placement in the vault.
- All capsules are inspected and portioned into 30-count bottles during the inspection process.
- Stability samples are pulled as needed and segregated for the lab.
- All inspections are documented.
- Inspect all outgoing shipments as they are prepared by Logistics. Inspections are completed by the end of business the day before scheduled deliveries. To include the assigning of numbered seals (zip ties) and sealing of totes for shipment as well as confirming the accuracy of date contained on the packing list.
- All inspections are documented, detailing applicable packaging data and listing any abnormalities found during inspection.
- Perform high-level vault inventories daily.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Record environmental data in the storage vault daily to confirm storage conditions meet PA Department of Health (DOH) regulations.
- Must be willing and able to occasionally work a flexible schedule as the business needs demand, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Qualifications:
- Daily decision-making regarding quality control.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Applications preferred.
- High School diploma (minimum).
- Ability to read and write in English.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
- This position works in an indoor environmentally controlled workspace.
- May require ability to stand for eighth (8) hours on concrete, work in a range of environments comfortably, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable bending, kneeling, climbing a ladder.
