Truck Dispatcher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of freight, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in various dispatching tools and systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient routing of freight.
• Utilize GPS systems to track shipments and optimize delivery routes.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via phone systems to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities.
• Monitor freight status and address any delays or concerns promptly.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette while interacting with clients and drivers.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching or a related field within the logistics industry.
• Familiarity with GPS technology for route planning.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
