JOB SUMMARY
Standard Solar is an industry leader providing solar energy, dedicated to delivering clean, sustainable energy for businesses, communities, and organizations across the country. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our Asset Management team. This role plays a vital part in supporting the financial and operational efficiency of our solar assets. The Accounts Administrator on the Asset Management team will support financial operations, with a focus on accounts payable (AP), receivable (AR), and budgeting for our portfolio of solar assets. The role will collaborate closely with the Asset Management, Operations, Structured Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, timely processing of payments, and streamlined record-keeping. This position is ideal for a finance or AR/AP professional who is passionate about renewable energy and eager to work in fast paced environment for a growing organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and verify Accounts Payable & Receivable invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to and from vendors.
- Generate and send invoices to clients, track outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain vendor records, ensuring accuracy in vendor setup, payment terms, and banking details.
- Receive and submit Purchase Orders for approval.
- Support the record keeping of transactions in Oracle, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist Accounting in month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Prepare periodic financial reports for management, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Track and manage the financial aspects of solar assets, including budgeting, cost allocation, and revenue recognition.
- Assist in monitoring asset performance metrics, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with the Asset Management and Operations teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of asset expenditures, contracts, and operational data.
- Assist with documentation and reporting for audits, ensuring that records are complete and readily available.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline & automate workflows, and enhance the efficiency of financial operations within the Asset Management and Operations teams.
- Participate in system and software implementation projects, offering insights to enhance financial tracking and reporting capabilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in accounting, finance, or a related administrative role, preferably within asset management, energy, or a similar industry.
- Proficiency in software (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of renewable energy or solar industry financial practices is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Conducts work in both a field-type environment or in a professional office setting with local travel to jobsites to conduct inspections. Physical working conditions may involve the following:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Extended periods of sitting, walking, standing, and/or bending.
- Extended periods of reading fine print on a computer or in paper-based format.
