Position Summary:
The National Purchasing Manager will oversee the purchasing and budgeting for our cannabis retail stores nationwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, vendor management, pricing strategies, and budget planning. This extremely data-driven role is essential in ensuring our stores are stocked with high-quality products at competitive prices while hitting business goals maintaining and strong vendor relationships.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure a consistent, high-quality inventory for all retail locations.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
- Manage the procurement process, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Evaluate and monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Identify new vendors and opportunities to enhance the product offering.
- Develop pricing strategies that are competitive and aligned with market trends.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan and execute promotions and discounts.
- Monitor sales performance and adjust pricing strategies as needed to optimize revenue and profitability.
- Prepare and manage the purchasing budget for all retail locations.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.
- Analyze financial reports and provide insights to senior management on purchasing trends and budget performance.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with state regulations governing the cannabis industry

Required:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in the cannabis industry
- Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the Division of Cannabis Control
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
