About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our team. As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft maintenance, with experience working with hand tools, gauges, and test equipment. You will also be required to read and interpret manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
- Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
- Inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects
- Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories using hand tools and power tools
- Service and maintain aircraft systems by performing tasks such as flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes
- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts, such as wings and fuselage, rigging, and hydraulic units
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in aircraft maintenance
- Experience working with hand tools, gauges, and test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications
- Basic knowledge of operating a personal computer or laptop
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
