Who YOU are:
- Two to four years of related experienced required.
- High school diploma required.
- Five to six years of managerial experience
- Notary license or the ability to obtain a Notary license within 90 days of hire date.
- Maintain authority to provide signature guarantees, sign official checks, or medallion signatures up to approved limit.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Solid understanding of branch operations and functions, which include account administration, deposit, trust, and individual retirement accountants (IRAs); consumer lending, cross- selling, and business development.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills. Has attention to detail.
- Knowledge of branch operations, programs, policies, and procedures, sales culture initiatives, and expectations for credit unions
What YOU’LL do:
- Understand, comply, and train others on all applicable government regulations and laws, specifically the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), funds availability, truth in savings, privacy legislation, other related governmental regulations, and laws. Process BSA reports. Assist with BSA file maintenance.
- Provide supervisor overrides and approvals within assigned limits. Assist with error resolution situations for staff and for members.
- Assist in ensuring that all teller and member services representative functions are correctly performed, according to established polices and standards. Ensure that all security procedures are followed.
- Advise the manager of positive and of negative performance issues that occur with tellers; intervene in minor staff disputes; maintain and update the department manager.
- Perform required monthly audits with minimal supervision.
- Provide leadership to teller and member service representative personnel through effective communicating, objective setting, and delegating. Ensure that personnel are well trained, effective, and optimally used. Provide instruction regarding policy, procedure, service, and product offerings. Assist new employees.
- Exercise good judgment to reach decisions and to obtain desired results, within broadly defined practices, policies, selection methods, techniques, and criteria for evaluations.
- Steps in for the Branch Manager in their absence. Accountable for managing the operations of the branch. Ensuring that all levels of member service are maintained by all employees. Trains and coaches branch employees. Exercises direct supervision of branch staff.
- Assist with the supervision of branch operations.
- Assist with orientation of new employees and staff training sessions. Ensure that personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective positions. Perform cross-training, as necessary.
- Ensures members’ requests and questions are promptly resolved. Handles customers’ complaints. Ensures members are informed of Company services and policies.
- Assists with ensuring the branch has efficient performance of branch operations. Maintain and manages proper cash controls and operations including but not limited to cash limits, cash shipments and negotiable items. Balances all branch transactions, at the closing of each day. Provides approvals and overrides for transactions within policy guidelines.
- Assists with supervising work scheduling and approving all sick, leave, vacation, and overtime timesheets for employees. Ensures that the branch has sufficient coverage on the schedule.
