Stanford’s Online High School is an accredited, diploma-offering, highly selective independent high school, offering courses for grades 7-12. The mission of is to foster a worldwide community of intellectually adventurous students and teachers. Our courses, created and taught by specialists in their academic fields, encourage students to continuously develop and test their own views as they integrate knowledge across disciplines. Stanford Online High School is also the home of Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies (SPCS), which provides a diverse array of academic enrichment programs that take place mostly in the summer but also throughout the academic year. Held both online and on-campus, SPCS programs serve intellectually curious pre-college students from around the world. The position is located at Stanford’s and will require an on-campus presence on a regular basis.
The Student Life Events Coordinator at plays an important role in assisting our Student Life Department to enrich the student experience through meticulously planned and executed events. Reporting to the Director of Student Life, this position is responsible for assisting the Director of Student Life and our Student Life Coordinator to plan, implement and assess all of our in-person events: Homecoming, Pixel Festival, Pixel Gathering and Graduation, as well as the Summer@Stanford program.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively with different teams to support events that bring together our diverse online community in meaningful and memorable ways. This candidate will also be an excellent communicator serving as the first line of communication for our Summer @ Stanford program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Director of Student Life in planning, implementing and assessing all Student Life events.
- Coordinating with OHS Staff to facilitate implementation of Stanford Online High School in person events.
- Overseeing ticketing processes using EventBrite and other platforms, and responding to inquiries
- Serving as the front line of communications for Student Life. Respond to questions, triage more complex matters by assigning them to teammates, and efficiently manage inboxes.
- Collaborating closely with instructors and staff to ensure each event aligns with the school's co-curricular goals.
- Coordinating with various Stanford Online High School offices, including the Business and Finance Office to help procure necessary supplies,create PO/Contracts for event activities, and services.
- Accurately inventory and manage the Student Life storage space in preparation for major annual events.
- Designing and administering assessments, including pre and post event surveys, focus groups and other means of data collection to evaluate the effectiveness of each event against its defined goals.

- Budget Management: accurately track expenses and balance program needs with budget constraints.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with event management software, ticketing systems, and general digital literacy for coordinating online aspects of events and communication.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively with a team, providing guidance and support to staff and volunteers, and demonstrating leadership in the execution of events.
- Occasionally stand, walk, twist, use fine manipulation, grasp, use a telephone, write by hand, sort and file paperwork, lift, carry, push, and pull objects that weigh up to 25 pounds.
The expected pay range for this position is $22.00 to $37.00 per hour not to exceed 20 hours per week. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
