Job Summary
Looking for a responsible, energetic and detail oriented individual with excellent computer and communication skills to join our chiropractic team. Prior experience as an insurance coordinator is necessary as well as knowledge of chiropractic care. You will be responsible for the overall insurance and accounts receivable management of our office .
Hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00am- 3:00pm. ( 3 DAY WEEKEND!)
Responsibilities and Duties
* Able to easily communicate with insurance companies
* Able to multi task and execute tasks and duties in a timely manner
* Good organizational and time management skills
* Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to patients and third party payers. Ensure accurate account information in all billing areas
*Ability to reason and carry out instructions and trouble shoot problems
* Knowledge of insurance benefit breakdown, eligibility and terminology
* Responsible for insurance and accounts receivables
* Creating appeals, follow up on claims, and maintaining a low overall office receivables
* Reviewing and submitting chiropractic claims
* Submitting pre-authorizations to insurance companies
* Follow up on outstanding insurance claims
* Confirming patient eligibility on insurance plans
* Understanding insurance co-payments and co-insurance
* Entering insurance payments into patient accounts
* Billing and collections
Qualifications
- Insurance experience is required
- Office experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology, records, and coding
- Strong skills in insurance verification
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Competency in using computer systems for administrative tasks
