Your Key Responsibilities

As a key part of the Mountain Water Business, through your affiliation with the overall Southwest Water Region (that includes Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico, and the global water treatment practice at larger), your general duties will be as follows :

  • Become engaged in active project delivery as a client-facing Project Leader in the Municipal Water and utilities markets in the Southwest United States.
  • Learn and be a promoter of Stantec's project delivery structure that includes Project Manager and Project Technical Leads.
  • Work closely with leadership to identify strategic client relationships to be developed, fostered and / or maintained in Colorado and the greater Southwest markets.
  • Over time, be a key leader in the development of a strong network that connects and integrates our teams in Denver, Colorado Springs, Ft. Collins, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Albuquerque.
  • Support Stantec's reputation for innovation and research through participation in Colorado conferences, professional associations, and academic partnerships.
  • Mentor young professionals in the Denver, Ft. Collins, and Colorado Springs offices, and across the region.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership in the development of innovative technical solutions for drinking water projects.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experienced in organizing, planning, and executing water treatment process designs from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, subconsultants, and vendors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for team building and collaboration.
  • Efficient technical leadership of assigned tasks on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Understand client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, and producing high quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience, managing, or participating in market and strategic client relationship development campaigns.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in planning, design, and construction in at least three or more of the following Water Treatment areas :
  • Integrated water master planning

  • Conventional water treatment applications
  • Advanced treatment
  • Disinfection systems
  • Emerging contaminants
  • One-Water solutions
  • Education and Experience

  • Education : Minimum Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience : Minimum 15 years' relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing and / or coordinating water treatment infrastructure piloting, planning, design, and construction projects..
  • Licenses / Certifications : Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado or ability to achieve within one year of hire is preferred.
  • Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s) :

    Salary Range(s) :

  • 148,100 - $229,500 Min / Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI
  • The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

    Temporary / casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
