Your Opportunity
Stantec's Mining, Minerals and Metals Business Line is hiring a Senior Hydrogeologist to join their growing team [multiple locations in US and Canada].
The Senior Hydrogeologist will take a technical lead role and execute unsaturated and saturated flow modeling and related projects for mining studies / projects of varying size and complexity, and at various project stages from initial concepts through to execution. This person may be required to work on several projects at a time. We support clients in all phases of the mining life cycle, from exploration through post-closure.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work with clients to deliver safe, responsible, and innovative solutions.
- Work with hydrogeologists, geochemists, and geotechnical engineers, to develop conceptual site models, develop analytical and numerical models of unsaturated and saturated groundwater flow, and design cover systems.
- Developing mine water management approaches including water budgets, mine dewatering, waste material impoundments and groundwater containment / mitigation.
- Attend meetings and interface with clients, agencies, external consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and / or vendors.
- Participate in technical reviews.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control on their own projects and projects of peers.
- Prepare technical reports.
- Support business development efforts and proposal preparation.
- International or national travel can be expected.

Salary Range(s) :
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
