We are currently seeking a talented Supply Chain Planner to join our Calhoun, GA location reporting to our VP of Planning and Inventory Management. The Supply Chain Planner is a critical part of creating and continuously improving the demand and supply planning processes for the company. The role will use creativity, advanced analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills to continuously improve service levels while optimizing inventory turns and cash flow.
Responsibilities Include:
Create and manage the inventory plan by SKU to support company service level, cash flow and inventory turns goals
Analyze and create inventory risk mitigation strategies
Create and manage the demand plan by SKU as a key input into the inventory plan and SIOP process
Create statistical forecasts by SKU and other groupings as necessary
Collaborate with Commercial teams on New Product forecasts and supply plan inputs and process
Create purchase order suggested amounts and due dates as an input to purchasing process
Communicate, troubleshoot, and work with others to resolve any constraints which may impact service levels (demand, supply inputs, capacity, etc.)
Continuously improve key SC Demand and Supply Planning metrics (forecast accuracy, forecast bias, supply plan accuracy, in-stock rate, etc.)
Identify and decrease non-productive inventory
Lead or support data analysis as needed
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
4 years’ experience in demand planning, inventory planning, or other relevant supply chain functions.
4 years of demonstrated analytics and data-driven decision-making experience.
Project management experience, APICS or IBP certification, Six Sigma or process improvement experience
Strong analytics skills.
Proficiency in Excel advanced functions. A
Aptitude to learn new systems and data quickly. Existing business, financial and data acumen or ability to learn quickly.
Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills.
Ability to work with ambiguity while still making sound decisions.
Above average negotiation skills.
