What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control - Quality Control Inspector position at Stanton Carpet?
Quality Control Inspector
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Inspect carpet as it passes through cut table process
Identify and recognize carpet faults and flaws and communicate with QC management.
Communicate with the cut table operator regarding any corrective actions required.
Attach shipping labels and tickets to the carpet after it has been cut at the table.
Label and wrap carpet cuts to be delivered by UPS or FedEx.
Identify and recognize carpet styles by name and by visual check.
Oversee the correct rerolling of each carpet piece after each cut.
Familiarize with the AS 400 screens necessary for processing cuts.
AS400 experience is preferred, but job-specific training will be provided.
Coordinate with a team of lift truck drivers and warehouse supervisors, and management.
A willingness to cross-train with the cut table operator is required.
A willingness to acquire and continuously improve knowledge of Stanton products is
required.
Must have a working knowledge of measurement, including linear measurement, fractional measurement units, and decimal measurement units.
All applicants must be physically able to bend, lift (50lbs) , and stay on their feet for the duration of the shift.
All applicants must be willing to work overtime when required.
Qualifications
Must be able to pass color test
Must be able to use a computer (MS Office, AS400 preferred)
Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours shifts
Prior Quality Control Inspection experience a plus
