We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Logistics Planner to join our team. As a Logistics Planner, you will be responsible for optimizing the movement of goods throughout the supply chain. Your primary focus will be to ensure the efficient transportation of products, on-time deliveries, and cost-effective logistics solutions. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to manage and improve transportation routes, warehouse processes, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Planning and Coordination:
Develop, implement, and maintain efficient logistics plans for the transportation of goods, ensuring on-time delivery and minimizing costs.Route Optimization:
Analyze and plan optimal transportation routes for deliveries, working to improve fuel efficiency and reduce transit times. Evaluate transportation methods and negotiate with carriers to secure the best possible rates.Inventory Control:
Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and distribution centers, ensuring that stock is replenished timely and accurately. Work with the procurement team to ensure there is no shortage of materials.Vendor and Supplier Management:
Communicate regularly with third-party logistics providers, transportation companies, and suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of goods. Evaluate vendor performance to ensure cost efficiency and reliability.Supply Chain Analysis:
Analyze logistics performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Use this data to continuously optimize logistics processes and increase operational effectiveness.Shipping and Receiving Coordination:
Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed according to schedule, coordinating with warehouses and distribution centers. Maintain records of all shipments, deliveries, and returns.Cost Management:
Monitor and control logistics costs to ensure budget compliance. Develop strategies to reduce transportation, storage, and distribution costs while maintaining service levels.Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all shipments are in compliance with relevant regulations, including import/export, customs documentation, and transportation safety requirements.Collaboration:
Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and customer service teams to align logistics activities with overall business goals. Support cross-functional teams to resolve any issues related to logistics and transportation.Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology, and best practices to continuously improve logistics processes. Implement new tools or software that can enhance logistics efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field..
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Experience with logistics software or transportation management systems (TMS).
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, including customs and safety requirements.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to work with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and identify areas for improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other relevant software.
