We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handling Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and safely moving materials, products, and goods within the warehouse. Your attention to detail, ability to operate equipment, and focus on safety will be essential in ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Hourly Rate: $28
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks) to move products and materials within the warehouse
- Organize and store materials in designated locations to ensure efficient access and space utilization
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring products are handled carefully to prevent damage
- Assist in inventory management by tracking material movement and ensuring accurate stock levels
- Perform regular inspections of material handling equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
- Assist with product sorting, organizing, and preparing materials for shipping
- Collaborate with other warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient workflow
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to enhance productivity and safety
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proven experience in material handling or warehouse operations
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Basic computer skills to track material movement and update inventory records
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely
- Strong commitment to safety and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
