Description
SUMMARY
The Billing Specialist is responsible for handling the special billing requirements that are demanded from some of our customers. The Billing Specialist will also be responsible for customer service tasks for external and internal customers as well as other general administrative duties in the Accounts Receivable Department.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Billing Specialist will accurately submit billing according to individual customer requirements. The Billing Specialist will coordinate with the various departments within the company to gather the necessary documents to provide the customers with billing per their requirements. The Billing Specialist will also work with third-party companies that screen customer's invoices to ensure everything is correct and complies with the third-party / customer requirements.

SKILLS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with Service, Rental, Sales, and Parts departments to gather appropriate documents.
- Reprint and email or fax invoice copies per customer requests
- Research accounts and provide information to proper department managers if a billing error is discovered.
- Support CSS and Sales Representative as required by providing copies of invoices or other account information that they may require.
- Organize workload in order to efficiently process and submit billing as required.
- Verify accuracy of account information.
- Provide quality, professional, and prompt customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Forward any adjustments to the A / R Manager for processing along with necessary backup.
- Assist Receptionist in covering the phone and front desk as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
2 to 3 years of commercial billing experience. Material Handling Industry experience is desired but not required.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or Equivalent
WORK CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. Employee must have normal manual dexterity and be able to effectively manipulate keyboard and phone. Employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
