We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that orders are correctly processed, packed, and shipped in a timely manner. Your role will be essential in maintaining accurate shipping records, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that products reach customers in excellent condition. Hourly Rate: $28
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Accurately process and prepare outgoing orders by reviewing shipping details and ensuring that all items are correctly packed and labeled.
- Packaging: Securely package products to prevent damage during transit, ensuring that packaging materials and labels are used correctly.
- Shipping Documentation: Prepare and organize all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping labels.
- Carrier Coordination: Work with shipping carriers to schedule pick-ups and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Inventory Management Support: Assist in tracking inventory levels and report any stock discrepancies related to shipped orders.
- Shipping Updates: Communicate with customers, sales teams, and other departments to provide status updates on shipping progress and delivery times.
- Quality Control: Inspect shipments for damage or missing items before sending them out, ensuring products meet quality standards.
- Work Area Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Returns Processing: Manage returned goods, ensuring proper documentation, inspection, and restocking of returned items when applicable.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills and experience with shipping software and tracking systems.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, carriers, and team members.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse roles is a plus.
