What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foreman Telecom Construction Equipment position at Star Construction?
At Star Construction, LLC, as a Foreman on our Telecom Construction Equipment team, you’ll lead crews in the installation and maintenance of telecommunication systems. You’ll ensure everyone is following safety protocols and project timelines.
Star Construction, LLC provides comprehensive construction services for the telecommunications industry, covering the ACC, Big Ten and SCC states. Passing over 265,000 homes per year, we manage the entire infrastructure lifecycle, from site preparation and buildout to ongoing maintenance. - Lead crews to meet project timelines
- Help with training of crew members
- Read and understand blueprints
- Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
- Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
- Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
- Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
- Perform work in all weather conditions
- Other duties as assigned
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- A valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
- At least three years of related work experience
- Previous Foreman experience preferred
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
- Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
