Position Details
We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, reliable, punctual, and flexible to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year.
- **Availability:** Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm (must be available every day)
- **Rate:** $18 per hour
- **Ideal for:** College students looking for a perfect part-time schedule
**Commitment:** Must be available for the entire 2024-2025 school year (intersessions not guaranteed)
Job Summary
The Front Desk Check-In Associate is the welcoming face of our after-school program, responsible for ensuring smooth and secure check-in and check-out processes for students and families. This role supports the daily operations of the program by managing parent flow, maintaining records, and providing helpful information to parents, staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet parents, guardians, and students with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Manage daily student check-in and check-out processes using digital or manual systems.
- Verify authorized pickups and ensure compliance with program security protocols.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding program schedules, policies, and updates.
- Answer phone calls professionally.
- Monitor the check-in area to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Maintain accurate attendance records.
- Assist with light administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and preparing materials for activities.
- Support emergency procedures, such as contacting guardians or staff during urgent situations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in child development or education is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, such as receptionist or administrative support, is preferred.
- Experience working with TK-5th grade students
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office, attendance tracking systems).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with working in a child-focused environment is beneficial.

Additional Requirements
- Must pass a background check and TB test
- Must complete required Department of Social Services online training within 90 days of hire
- Ability to engage in physical activities such as walking, running, and jumping with children
