The Deposit Services Processor I position is included in a workplace model that allows for a combination of in-office and remote work.
As a Deposit Services Processor II, essential responsibilities include:
- Clearly understands the true functionality of our core system and applications to run point on utilization and efficiency for deposit processes.
- Complete account verifications for all HSA, CD, IRA, and Safe Deposit Box new account setups and maintenances.
- Run and implement corrections on transaction reporting and transactions for reportable time accounts to ensure both interest and tax reporting accuracy.
- Maintenance of system-based rate changes, to include maintenance and quality control of rate exceptions.
- Verify accuracy of account documentation through document warehousing system.
- Create document exceptions for erroneous or missing documentation, so appropriate action can be taken to mitigate risk to the company.
- Provide support, correction efforts, and maintenance for customer and account files in core system.
- Make needed adjustments through accurate data entry.
- Monitor accounts to control risk associated with ownership and setup of STAR’s time, HSA, IRA, and Safe Deposit Box accounts.
- Accurate examination of validity of requested transactions and maintenances.
- Serve as backup assist to complete accurate financial account maintenance, i.e., processing fee reversals and other various account maintenance requests, closing of deposit accounts, etc.
- Maintaining up to date applicable certifications and regulation knowledge to support role functions, as it pertains to the bank, the IRS, and other federal regulations.
- Complete end of year tax reporting verifications and corrections in an accurate, timely manner.
- Assist Business Analyst in defining, analyzing and redesigning business processes to optimize technology utilization.
- Support IT and BA teams in implementation of product changes and new product service development/processes.
- Serve as liaison for third party relationships to include software support vendors.
- Coordinate implementation of software solutions to streamline and improve process efficiency, meet business needs, and maximize company resources.
- Attends and participates in Jack Henry user conference and associated user groups.
- Support core system upgrades by assisting in coordination of testing efforts and execution on behalf of the department’s needs.
- Monitor and make necessary adjustments to the existing deposit portfolio.
- Maintenance and review of department procedures that pertain to Deposit Services.
- Serve as a Trusted Advisor to branch personnel and other support departments for questions pertaining to demand deposit products, including associated rules and regulations, and department procedures via all available channels of communication.
- Provide resolution to account issues within defined Service Level Agreements.
- Maintains and updates knowledge relating to bank products, services, and procedures.
- Adheres to and applies all operational standards and procedures.
- Provide backup to other Deposit Services duties, as workload dictates.
- Apply knowledge to assist in the training and development of Deposit Services employees.
- Serve and assist on project teams under the direction of team leadership
