As a Sr. Investment Officer, essential responsibilities include:
- Coordinates investment management strategy with third party managers engaged on behalf of discretionary clients.
- Responsible for ensuring the due diligence of investments in client portfolios is effectively and efficiently conducted.
- Implements portfolio designs for personal, fiduciary and corporate clients.
- Establishes, implements, and oversees investment policies for individual, fiduciary, and corporate clients.
- Responsible for the oversight of all institutional relationships, ensuring STAR’s best practices and thinking are communicated to client boards and leadership, and portfolio performance is in line with client expectations.
- Provides advice to customers on personal investment products and services by counseling them on current market trends and recommending appropriate investment strategies.
- Manages the bond, equity, and fund-oriented investments for individual trust and advisory accounts.
- Initiates action to affect required purchases and sales of securities.
- Consults with clients and account administrators in the development and execution of investment strategies.
- Participates in Private Advisory Investment Committee process.
- Maintains up to date familiarity with the investment portfolios in the interest of optimizing client potential.
- Determines specific customer needs and ensures that appropriate market transactions are executed.
- Uses fundamental and technical research to arrive at sound and timely investment decisions.
- Represent STAR in community organizations and professional associations.
- Responsible for responding to all Request for Proposals (RFP) for STAR Private Advisory, including coordinating the preparation of STAR’s response in conjunction with STAR’s marketing department to ensure the proposal meets corporate presentation standards and attending all sales meetings related to the RFP.
- Maintains and develops client relationships. Participates in joint call efforts with sales staff.
- Responsible for personal production and support of Trust Officers and Investment Officers in their business development efforts.
- Maintains and develops relationships with centers of influence.
