Introduction :
We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team. The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services essential for our companys operations. This role involves developing and managing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that all sourcing activities align with company policies and objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Execute effective procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers that are mutually beneficial for both parties
- Execute a comprehensive vendor onboarding, evaluation and audit process
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best possible deals
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels
- Coordinate with the Accounting and Operations team to forecast demand, ensure accurate counts of inventory and manage supply chain logistics
- Purchase and research products, items and services according to jobs
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Follow measures to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost savings to senior management
- Reconcile and update systems for inventory and credit cards
