What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Flooring Estimator position at Star Lumber & Supply?
Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. delivers confidence through our products and our people in the residential
construction industry.
We are seeking a proactive, results driven and detail-oriented Estimator to join our Residential Flooring Team.
The estimator will be responsible for providing the sales and design team with detailed drawings and quotes for
various materials and installations including for flooring, showers, countertops, and backsplashes. A successful
candidate will be a self-starter, with the ability to adjust to a wide range of client needs.
A Typical Day :
- Coordinate and organize schedule for making site visits to new construction and remodel properties.
- Field measure jobsites to get accurate dimensions and site info for estimating.
- Provide detailed drawings and quotes utilizing CAD based programs, a product / bid system and job tracking app.
- Manage changes / additions to materials, bids, and drawings in a timely manner.
- Work effectively with customers and internal employees to build good relationships and expectations.
