What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flour Sales Customer Care Specialist position at Star of the West Milling Co.?
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Customer Service advocate
- Responsible for purchase orders (Frankenmuth), includes scheduling, confirming price and product
- Responsible for retrieving, acknowledging customer purchase orders through customer portals and forwarding to the correct plant
- Speak with customers on a daily basis to take orders, answer questions, make schedule changes and schedule deliveries
- Work together with other departments (Transportation, Millers, etc.) in order to meet customer demands in a timely fashion
- Prepare/update customer contract balance reports and customer information
- Prepare daily load documents (BOL, C of A, Wash tickets, etc.). Attention to detail is very important to include customer requirement specifics
- Provide good communication with customers, between departments and plants
- Account payable approver
- Track freight costs
- Assist with invoicing
Minimum Requirements

Experience
- 2 years work experience in related field preferred, not required
Skills and abilities
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office Suite required and ability to learn and utilize GP Ag accounting software
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
- Be able to adapt quickly in changing environments
- Work independently and exercise good judgement on behalf of the business
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

- Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear
- Occasionally required to climb or walk throughout facilities when necessary
