Flour Sales Customer Care Specialist

Duties
Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Customer Service advocate
• Responsible for purchase orders (Frankenmuth), includes scheduling, confirming price and product
• Responsible for retrieving, acknowledging customer purchase orders through customer portals and forwarding to the correct plant
• Speak with customers on a daily basis to take orders, answer questions, make schedule changes and schedule deliveries
• Work together with other departments (Transportation, Millers, etc.) in order to meet customer demands in a timely fashion
• Prepare/update customer contract balance reports and customer information
• Prepare daily load documents (BOL, C of A, Wash tickets, etc.). Attention to detail is very important to include customer requirement specifics
• Provide good communication with customers, between departments and plants
• Account payable approver
• Track freight costs
• Assist with invoicing

Experience

• 2 years work experience in related field preferred, not required

Skills and abilities

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office Suite required and ability to learn and utilize GP Ag accounting software
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
• Be able to adapt quickly in changing environments
• Work independently and exercise good judgement on behalf of the business
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Physical Demands

• Sit for extended periods of time
• Stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear
• Occasionally required to climb or walk throughout facilities when necessary
