Job Summary
The Director of Finance, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, will assist with critical accounting, finance, and reporting functions. This role is responsible for managing the monthly and annual accounting and financial close processes. The Director will also support presentations to the Audit and Finance Committee and the Board of Directors.
In addition, the Director of Finance will collaborate with the CFO and various cross-functional teams, including Human Resources (HR), Payroll, and Information Technology (IT), to improve and streamline the integration of policies and procedures across the organization.
Responsibilities
· Assist CFO with oversight of daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial transactions.
· Manage daily banking operations, including cash flow monitoring and banking relationships.
· Collaborate with the CFO to develop and implement policies for accounting, finance, and operational management, covering areas like the general ledger, financial reporting, and budgeting as needed.
· Supervise general accounting functions and ensure timely completion of the monthly financial close process.
· Prepare monthly financial statements.
· Assist the CFO in preparing presentations and materials for the Finance Committee and Board of Directors meetings.
· Ensure the preparation and accurate presentation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including overseeing the preparation of IRS Form 990 and Consolidated Fiscal Reporting (CFR).
· Support the CFO in the creation of annual operating budgets and financial forecasts.
· Lead and mentor the finance team members, providing coaching, guidance, and training while fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
· Stay current on industry trends and technical knowledge through ongoing professional development

Additional Responsibilities
- Abides by Code of Conduct, which incorporates the Corporate Compliance Section.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
· A CPA certification is preferred.
· Experience in CFR (Consolidated Financial Reports) preparation is a plus.
· A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting is required.
· Experience in non-profit accounting is a plus.
· Supervisory experience in accounting or finance is required.
