Position Summary

The successful Supply Chain Production Planner will have the capability of working as a team with sales, managers, team leads and production employees to ensure the company hits its production goals on time. They will have the ability to see the big picture by monitoring the organization’s overall situation to minimize any potential impact on production. The Supply Chain Production Planner responsibilities include creating production schedules to established sequences and lead times for each operation, analyzing shipments forecasts and customer orders, arranging production orders into efficient production schedules, monitoring finished goods inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. They should also be able to closely monitor the production process, conferring with supervisors and team leads, to ensure that production orders are completed on time and within budget. Work with team to expedite operations that may delay schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyzing shipments forecasts and customer orders.
  • Creating and managing production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.

· Create and transact all production orders daily.

· Entering, reconciling, and verifying production slips to ensure inventory accuracy.

· Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimize delays in production.

· Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.

  • Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.

· Facilitate finished goods cycle counting and adjust accordingly.

· Analyze production capacity by product family

· Monitor and adjust schedules to meet unforeseen conditions

  • Coordinate with manufacturing for work allocation and production changeovers
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Support new business implementations, including launches and transitions, ensuring readiness and successful execution.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, operations, and PD, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

· Review and advise delivery dates for new build to order and custom orders.

· All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

· 5 years’ experience with ERP Systems, Acumatica a plus.

· Self-confident in a manufacturing environment

· Proven ability to develop and optimize systems and planning processes.

· Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

· Experience with multi-level production planning and inventory management.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of employees and across all functions.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Effective communication skills.

· Strong skills in Excel.

· Kanban experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
