StarCare Specialty Health System seeks to hire a Licensed Therapist to join the Community Based Mental Health Services Team.
Licensed Therapist Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and providing therapeutic groups out of the Outreach and Recovery Center (ORC) as well as CBT and CPT to qualifying clients, utilizing informal and formal assessments to measure progress, and document accordingly.
- Counseling services provided will follow the individuals current plan of treatment/recovery plan.
- The clinical role involves assessing for treatment needs, monitoring progress to ensure effectiveness of interventions, as well as accurate and timely documentation.
- This role could also provide crisis intervention as clinically necessary.
- Documentation will follow specific theoretical orientation standards as well as agency documentation guidelines.
- Licensed Therapist also performs tasks which require advanced skills in organization, planning, interpersonal relationships, in-depth knowledge of clinic operations and objectives, and overall understanding of other departments.
- Providing clinical expertise, supporting overall program performance, and client progress.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed:
- Knowledge of human service delivery systems.
- Ability to effectively use computer, hand-held computers and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to organize, prioritizes a variety of assignments and manage time effectively.
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other employees and the public.
- Knowledge of appropriate rules, regulations, and policies and procedures.
- Understanding of and ability to follow BHEC Rules and ACA Code of Ethics.
Schedule: This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a Human Service related field with applicable licensure to include: LPC, LMFT, or an LCSW and one year of full-time experience in a related field; OR
- At the discretion of the Director of Adult Outpatient Services, the following will be considered in lieu of licensure: Master’s Degree in a Human Service related field with applicable intern licensure to include: LPC- Associate, LMFTA or LMSW pursing an LCSW and two years of full-time related work experience, preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must have a Texas driver's license and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
