StarCare Specialty Health System (StarCare) is the state designated Local Authority for mental health and intellectual disabilities for Lubbock, Lynn, Hockley, Cochran and Crosby Counties and the Local Authority for substance use disorders for 41 counties in the West Texas region. StarCare is also a Texas Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) and provides adult inpatient psychiatric services at Sunrise Canyon Hospital. StarCare proudly supports veterans via VetStar, aging citizens via the Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) delivered by Silver Star, and much more! StarCare is in search of qualified and compassionate individuals to provide Adult Mental Health Rehabilitative Services.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Adult Mental Health Services with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Clinical supervision is provided by the Program Coordinator of Psychosocial Rehabilitative Services/Team Lead. This position provides rehabilitative services to adult clients. Services are provided in the community and around approved individual plans of service.
Rehabilitation services include:
- Providing hands-on, in-vivo skills training, symptom management, support, medication monitoring, crisis intervention, and possible peer support;
- Addressing substance abuse, criminal justice, housing, money management and employment issues;
- Communicating pertinent clinical information; and
- Providing face-to-face contact (or telehealth when approved) with clients and their support systems.
- This position ensures all activities support the vision, mission and values of StarCare Specialty Health System.
HOURS: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to meet customer & program needs.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in a human services field (Human Development /Family Studies, Psychology, Sociology, etc.).
- Two (2) years full-time experience in a related field, preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge and skill in operating standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, printer) and use of Microsoft Office products is required.
Additional Requirements:
- Local travel using personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement is required.
- Work laptop and cell phone will be issued.
- Must have current Texas driver's license, liability auto insurance, and be insurable under Center insurance.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
