Position Overview

The Tableau Lead will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Tableau-based data visualization solutions. This role involves managing a team of Tableau developers, collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, and ensuring that the company’s data visualization practices are effective, scalable, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• **Leadership and Team Management:**
• Lead and mentor a team of Tableau developers and analysts.
• Provide guidance on best practices for Tableau development and data visualization.
• Oversee the team’s work, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
• **Data Visualization Development:**
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
• Optimize Tableau workbooks for performance and scalability.
• **Project Management:**
• Manage Tableau projects from inception through delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• **Stakeholder Engagement:**
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions that address those needs.
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Tableau-related inquiries and support.
• **Data Governance and Best Practices:**
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across Tableau reports and dashboards.
• Implement and enforce best practices for data visualization, including design standards and governance policies.
• Stay updated with Tableau advancements and industry trends to continuously improve the company’s data visualization capabilities.
• **Training and Support:**
• Develop and deliver training materials for end-users on Tableau tools and best practices.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Tableau-related issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• **Education:**
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional) is a plus.
• **Experience:**
• 5-7 years of experience in Tableau development and data visualization, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial role.
• Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team of Tableau developers.
• **Skills:**
• Expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
• Strong project management skills with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
