Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues. Weekend and evening hours available for those supplementing income.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions
- Educate clients on addiction, coping mechanisms, and relapse prevention strategies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills:
- Experience in addiction counseling
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for substance use disorders
- Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Compassionate to the needs of the population served
