What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Worker, Advancement position at Stark State College of Technology?
This is a student worker position in the Advancement Office assisting the Advancement staff with donor engagement, data entry, research, filing, and mailings.
A flexible schedule is available.
Can work up to 20 hours per week while attending classes.
Office Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 am-4:30 pm
Occasional, optional evening hours for events
Update donor records in the Raiser's Edge database (training will be provided), includes address and contact information, tracking emails and other engagement, and adding job information.
Research donors for updates and information about other philanthropic efforts.
Schedule interviews with students to capture their stories for use in appeals.
Organize advancement records, scan them for uploading into the database, and file paper records.
Proofread appeals and scholarship agreements.
Prepare and stuff mailings.
Help with setup and registration for events.
Interact with donors at events.
Call donors.
Must possess good communication skills, be computer literate, must type well, be detail-oriented and dependable.
Must be able to work in a high-functioning, fast-paced environment.
Must be enrolled as a current student at Stark State College.
Should be comfortable using Microsoft Office, basic data entry, and scanning.
Training will be provided for other duties.
This is a non-federal work-study position.
