We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Windows Systems Administrator/Help desk support person. This role will support our corporate end-users in troubleshooting and solving IT issues on-site and remote. With a hands-on attitude, you have a natural enthusiasm for helping others and contributing to the enhanced productivity of our dynamic workforce in a multi-office environment. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Microsoft products and services in general, interested in integrations between Windows and other operating environments and attentive to details. The candidate should be interested not just in the execution of such systems, but also in design and maintainability, including the security ramifications of any architectural choices. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organization skills and a self-motivated, team player. Your ability to collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams will be essential in ensuring a positive outcome. You will be responsible for an optimal end-user experience and ensure that the environment remains optimal and secure. Additionally, you will monitor, review, and resolve tickets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain in-house computer systems, servers, desktops, and peripherals. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide to Helpdesk Staff training and assistance where required.
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of routine server problems, recommend, and implement solutions.
  • Assist the telecommunication technician when needed and provide backup duties as required.
  • Place vendor service calls when necessary to resolve hardware or software failures.
  • Maintain the inventory of all IT assets.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Great communication skills, in-person and virtually. Be able to communicate to non-technical and executive level employees.
  • Good organization skills, be able to prioritize issues.
  • Perform on and off boarding sessions for new employees.
  • At times lead the efforts to provide support with new network and security deployment on-site or remote.
  • Solve technical and system issues with little to no supervision.
  • Respond to end-user support technology requests via email and Jira ticketing systems.
  • Organize multiple tasks and priorities for personal and project time management.
  • Deploy computers and software to existing and new users.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in an IT support capacity.
  • 1-3 years’ experience with SonicWALL, Ubiquiti, Meraki.
  • 1-3 years of experience with operating systems, Windows server 2012 and up, Windows 10 and up.
  • Working knowledge of several areas including Azure, Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, Share Point, Windows Administration, networking.
  • Familiarity with network security, firewalls, enterprise backup systems, VOIP telephone systems.
  • Basic understanding with networking protocols - DNS, WINS, DHCP, VPN, TCP/IP.
  • Working knowledge of networks, of LAN and WAN configurations and concepts.
  • Experience with backup, anti-virus, anti-spam, and spyware technologies.
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Possesses outstanding analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a flexible approach.
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work closely with users and other IT professionals to identify, analyze and resolve system problems.
  • Ability to successfully interact with other IT professionals and end-users.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Vendor Certifications, CompTIA Net , A , Security , VMware, Microsoft
