RN Charge - ICU PRN at Starr Regional Medical Center
The Registered Nurse (RN) Charge is responsible for overseeing patient care in the intensive care unit, ensuring nursing staff are effectively supervised and mentored. This role involves assessing patient conditions, developing care plans, and addressing staffing needs according to patient acuity and workflow.
Starr Regional Medical Center seeks a talented RN to fill the position of Registered Nurse Charge for our ICU Department. This job is permanent, PRN.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Establish a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
- Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
- Assist in determining staffing levels and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, patient acuity and work/patient flow.
- Provide direct patient care as needed.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
- Respond to complaints about patient care and related services, and manage through established channels.

Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Associate's degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (Required)
- Required Licenses: Tennessee, United States Registered Nurse RN License in the State of TN or another compact state
- Required Skills: Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
