Position Overview:The Social Media Director & Events Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing effective social media strategies and coordinating events that align with our brand objectives. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in social media management and event planning, with a proven track record of engaging audiences and successfully managing multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies across various platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Nextdoor, etc.) to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Create, curate, and manage high-quality content that aligns with our brand voice and goals.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize content and campaigns for maximum reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, news outlets and tenants to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
- Manage social media advertising budgets and campaigns to drive targeted traffic and conversions.
Event Coordination:
- Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, including trade shows, city sponsored events, and promotional activities that reflect our brand identity.
- Coordinate logistics such as media licenses, vendor selection, catering, speaker management, and event materials.
- Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and marketing plans to ensure successful execution for the entire year.
- Collaborate with vendors, sponsors, and partners to enhance event experiences and maximize outreach.
- Gather feedback and analyze event performance to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- Must have 3-5 years of experience in social media management and event coordination.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and analytics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Creative and innovate mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
