Job Description:
Starry Associates maintains CMS Financials, Budgeting and Reporting systems as part of CMS HOM project. To support and maintain configurations of these systems, Starry Associates is actively looking for configuration and release management specialist.
Starry Associates is seeking a Configuration and Deployment SME for our Healthcare General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS) program at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in Windsor Mill, MD. Position is current mostly remote with occasional onsite visits required. There is a potential for the position converting to fulltime onsite.
Responsibilities and Job Functions:
- Maintain Configuration Management (CM) functions for controlled instances.
- Manage change control activities for all code streams
- Maintain the code baseline for Production and all other streams
- Coordinate the deployment into all controlled instances
- Assist in the analysis of SCM tools and implementation
- Manage the automation of the email messages from the Flex Deploy servers
- Responsible for participating in the HOM Risk Management Process through risk and issue identification and resolution
Qualifications and Skills:
Requires ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least three out of the last five years
Required:
- BS and five years related experience, or MS and three years related experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education
- Minimum of two years hands-on experience with Configuration Management tool/application and Source code repository management, including source code merge
- Minimum of two years working in a CM discipline for the entire lifecycle of systems from initial requirements and capabilities baselines to system end-of-life to align with IT Service Management
- Experience CM tools and functionality configuration management processes and procedures, including creating product build scripts and procedures
- Experience with maintaining the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration
- Experience with SCM software like GIT and Deployment tools/software like FlexDeploy and GitLab or similar
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years
Desired:
- Federal consulting experience in Oracle Federal Financial Environment
- Experience with ConfigSnapshot
- Experience with configuration of FlexDeploy Plugin's such as ServiceNow. is a plus
